Supplies:
Yardage for the main fabric (width 140cm)
- Size 34 to 40 : approximately 1.50m
- Size 42 to 46 : approximately 1.80 m
- Size 48 to 52 : approximately 2.00 m to 2.30 m
If you are using a one-way fabric (like suede or velvet), always plan 10 to 20 cm extra.
- Yardage for the fringe strips
Everything depends on the desired length and density, but for a result similar to the model, you need approximately 3 m to 3.50 m of fringe strips.
Choice of fabrics :
- Suede/suede (ideal for a chic look faithful to the western style)
- Leather or imitation leather (for a more assertive and trendy look)
- Gabardine, cotton twill, heavy canvas (Easier to sew, perfect if you're just starting out)
- Soft wool (light to medium woolen cloth type)
